26
Q

Short Answer

What is motive flow?

A

Motive flow is fuel flow resulting when excess fuel at the engines is routed at high pressure to jet pumps. These jet pumps cause the fuel to move throughout the system on the basis of Bernoulli’s principle:
If a small amount of fluid is flowing horizontally from a region of high pressure to a region of low pressure, then there is more pressure behind than in front. This results in application of force on the fluid, propelling it forward.

27
Q

With a BOW of 20,500 lbs, is it possible to carry a 1,000 lbs payload and full tanks without exceeding a weight limitation?

A

No.
