What is selective breeding? - outline the steps
A
- Select the organisms with the characteristics you want (e.g Sense of smell, muscle growth, body shape etc…)
- Breed the organisms together
- Select the offspring with the desired characteristic
- Breed them together and select the best offspring again… then keep repeating

What have animals been selectively bred for? - list the different characteristics.
A
Selective breeding is a process where we choose the characteristics we want in an animal.

Why is selective breeding bad?
A
Future generations of selectively bred organisms will all share very similar genes. This could make some diseases more dangerous as all the organisms would be affected.
