Selective breeding is when humans choose which plants or animals are going to breed.

An example of selective breeding would be?
A
A farmer might want his cattle to produce more meat
- genetic variation means some cattle will have better characteristics for producing meat than others e.g. a larger size
- the farmer would select the largest cows and bulls and breed them together
