section four- human brain Flashcards
what is the Cerebrum
The largest part of the brain
the cerbrum can be divided into
2 halves right and left and four sections or lobes
what are the four sections or lobes
- frontal lobe
- The temporal lobe
- The parietal lobe
- The occipital lobe
The frontal lobe is primarily concerned
voluntary movement, speech, intelligence and behaviour.
The temporal lobe is involved with
hearing , smell, taste, memory and
understanding speech.
The parietal lobe is involved in
sensation, artistic and scientific ability
The occipital lobe is responsible for
processing incoming visual information and storing visual
memories.
the cerebellum controls .
movement, balance and muscle coordination helps in learning and remembering motor skill
what is the brain stem
the structure that connects the cerebrum of the brain to the spinal cord and cerebellum
