Q16) identify two glands that form part of the endocrine system and outlined their function
Pituitary gland-production of growth, and controls all other ground Adrenal glands – links to automatic nervous system increases heart rate and bloodflow to muscles releases adrenaline
Q17)discuss the contribution of Pavlov’s research to understanding of human behaviour
Pavlov discovered classical conditioning through his research with dogs He showed the existence of unconditioned response by presenting a dog with a bowl of food and then measuring it’s salivary secretions.
Pavlov discovered that the dogs learned to associate the lab assistant with food and would salivate when they were present Pavlov repeated this with several things including a bell and the effect was always the same, Pavlov decided that these behaviours must have been learnt.
Humans learn things in a similar way-phobias.
