- Racist group in deep South of U.S.A
- Believing in white supremacy, wanted black people to remain slaves
- Only WASPs (White Anglo-Saxon (English origin) Protestants) allowed in
- Hated black people, Catholics, Jews & Mexicans
- Lynched black people - police would either find it near impossible to stop them, or would join in
