  1. TMP/SMX orally for 3 days if E.coli resistance in the area is low. If resistance is > 20%, then ciprofloxacin or levofloxacin is the drug of choice
  2. TMP/SMX orally for 7 days if E.coli resistance in the area is low. If resistance is > 20%, then ciprofloxacin or levofloxacin is the drug of choice. Complicated means an anatomic abnormality is present, such as stone, stricture, tumor or obstruction
