What are things that can affect your driving?
vision, hearing, fatigue/drowsiness, physical and mental health, medications, and health.
Should you have both hands on the steering wheel?

How should you have your hands on the wheel?
9 and 3 o clock OR 8 and 4 o clock
Should you cross your hands?
no
When should you use hand to hand steering?
low speeds, park, and recover from skid.
When can you use one hand steering?
When reverse parking and vehicles that require one hand
Left hand signaling
arm spread out to left
Right hand signaling
arm bend to 90 degree facing up
Slow/Stop signaling
arm bend 90 degree facing down
When should you signal?
at least 100 feet before every turn, when changing lanes, five seconds before changing lanes in freeway, before pulling to a curb, even when you do not see other vehicles, and when almost through an intersection if planning to turn after crossing.
When should you use your horn?
Avoid collisions and alert on-coming traffic of narrow roads where you can’t see ahead of 200 feet
When should you use your headlights?
When it is too dark to see 1000 miles ahead of you, 30 minutes after sunset, 30 minutes before sunrise, weather conditions that prevent you from seeing other vehicles, mountains/tunnels, and road signs.
When should you use low beam lights?
adverse weather like when using windshield wipers like fog, rain, or snow.
When to use emergency flashers?
When you see a collision or hazard ahead. You should turn on emergency flashers, lightly tap on break pedal 3 or 4 times and use hand signal
