Q
Name four “Disaster Recovery Strategies”
A
- Backup and restore
- Pilot Light
- Warm Standby
- Hot site / Multi Site Approach
5
Q
Disaster Recovery - Backup and Restore
A
- High RPO
- Its is cheap(just pay for storing of backup)
- Very easy
- High RTO
6
Q
Disaster Recovery - Pilot Light
A
- A small version of the app is always running in the cloud
- Useful to the critical core
- Very similar to Backup and Restore
- Faster than Backup and Restore as critical systems are already up
7
Q
Disater Recovery - Warm Standby
A
- Full system is up and running but at minimum size
- Upon disaster, we can scale to production load
8
Q
Disaster Recovery - Multi Site/ Hot Site Approach
A
- Very low RTO(minutes or seconds)
- Very expensive
- Full production scale is running in AWS and On Premise
