If you are a Hindu servant, what do you believe and why do those beliefs give you hope in life?
A Hindu servant believes in reincarnation. That means that if you live a good life, you will be reborn into a higher caste. That is what gives people in lower castes hope in life. If you live your life badly, you will have bad karma or consequences.
What are the major beliefs of Hinduism?
Reincarnation, karma, dharma, and universal spirit.
What is Hinduism?
The system of religion that grew out if the religion of the Aryans. It is one of the oldest and third largest religions today.
What is reincarnation?
The rebirth of the soul or spirit in different bodies over time.
What is dharma?
The divine law that requires people to perform the duties of their caste.
What is karma?
The good or bad energy that a person builds up based upon whether he or she lives a good or bad life.
What does affect mean?
Ho something makes something else happen.
What does require mean?
What someone or something needs.
What is an epic?
The earliest Greek stories.
What is Sanskrit?
The written language that the Aryans developed.
How is karma related to reincarnation?
If a person has good karma, they will be reincarnated into a higher caste. Bad karma leads to a decrease of your caste when you reincarnate.
Who is the Buddha?
Siddhartha Gautama. He was known as the Buddha or Enlightened One for his lessons about life and his nature of suffering.
What is nirvana?
A state of wisdom which in Sanskrit means blowing out a candle flame. To reach nirvana, a person had to give up all of their desires.
What are some of the key beliefs of Buddhism?
The way to end suffering is to stop desiring things, and that people suffer because they desire worldly things and self satisfaction.
What are the different types of Buddhism?
Theravada Buddhism, and Mahayana Buddhism.
