Meaning: although, despite

Meaning: because
この村の老人は皆元気なことから、村の食習慣（しゅうかん）が体にいいと考えられている。
～ことに（は）
Meaning: Very; Quite; The ～ thing is that….

Meaning: from the standpoint, as a matter of

Meaning: finally, 長い間～をしたあとで

Meaning: while doing A, I had a chance to do B, since doing A anyway, do B

Meaning: when you talk of, speaking of, when you say

Meaning: Express admiration/horror; eg, how +adjective, so+adjective
彼のヘアスタイルといったら、言葉では言い表せないほどです。

Meaning: rather, more than
この雑誌は面白いというよりつまらないです。
This magazine is more boring than interesting.
～ば～ほど
Meaning: the more +V(+A), the more …
日本語は勉強すれば勉強するほど面白くなります。
The harder you study Japanese, the more interesting it will become.

Meaning: to the extent of; to the extent that ~
僕は君ほど速く歩けません。
I can’t walk as fast as you can.
