Fat necrosis
A
- Occurs in the breasts pancreas and other a abdominal structures
- cellular dissolution caused by powerful enzymes called lipases
- the necrotic tissue appears opaque and chalk white

Caseous necrosis
A
The tissue becomes fat-like and cheesy and is usually seen in tuberculosis (TB)
-Dead cells disintegrate but the debris is not completely digested

Refers to the death of tissue and results from severe hypoxic injury
