What is the process of S.170 RTA 1988?
A
The driver must stop and remain at the scene long enough to allow any person having reasonable grounds to do so, to ask for details.
Non personal injury, they must provide:
Driver’s name & address
Owner’s name & address
Registration no
Personal injury, include the above &
Insurance details

What happens if details aren’t provided?
A
The driver MUST report in person to a police officer or to a police station as soon as reasonably practicable or in any case, within 24 hours.
