31
Q

What is pressure altitude means

A

The altitude read from an altimeter when the altimeter’s barometric scale has been set to 29.92 inHg (1013mb)

32
Q

What is reference datum of Cessna172 located?

A

Lower portion of front face of firewall

33
Q

Flight load factors (MTOW 2400lbs.)

A

Flaps up +3.8g, -1.52g

Flaps down +3.0g

34
Q

Which section in POH can you find Emergency procedures?

A

Section 3

35
Q

Maximum cross wind velocity

A

15 knots

36
Q

While you taxi you should set throttle to which rpm instead of idle and why?

A

1000 rpm

In order to prevent spark plug become fault

37
Q

Refer to BEFORE TAKEOFF procedure while set the throttle to 1700 rpm for magnetos check the RPM drop should not exceed ____ rpm on either magnetos and _____ rpm differential between magnetos.

A

125 rpm

50 rpm

38
Q

Which badge should we use for BAC36

A

Kumamon Squadon!!

39
Q

Please describe the Pitot-Static system

A

The system received ram pressure and static pressure then send to Pitot-static instrument.

These instruments convert pressure and send to 3 indicators.

1.Airspeed indicator measuring differential pressure between dynamic pressure from pitot tube and static pressure from static port.

2 and 3. For Altimeter and Vertical speed indicator use only static pressure to measure changed pressure varies by altitude in Aneroid wafers and Diaphragm respectively.

40
Q

Please describe the Pitot tube’s malfunctions

A

Malfunction may occur by blockage of ice, dirt or insect.

Pitot tube malfunction

  1. Pitot tube clear but drain hole blocked: A/S will read more than actual speed
  2. Pitot tube blocked but drain hole clear. A/S will slowly drop to “0”
  3. Pitot tube and drain hole blocked: A/S will related to changing in altitude

High altitude -> A/S increase
Low altitude -> A/S decrease

Correction by turn on Pitot heat switch

41
Q

Please describe the static port’s malfunction

A

Malfunction may occur by blockage of ice, dirt or insect.

Static port malfunction
1.Blocked static port: Inaccurate Airspeed, Freeze Altimeter and Freeze Vertical speed indicator.

Correction by use alternate static port if cannot or didn’t equip try to break Vertical speed indicator gauge

42
Q

Visual flight rules condition (VFR)

A
  1. Operate sunrise to sunset / Ceiling more than 1,500 ft.
  2. Visibility 5-8 km. When operate at altitude below 10,000 ft.
  3. Visibility 8-10 km. When operate at altitude between 10,000-20,000 ft.
  4. Operate altitude not more than 20,000 ft.
  5. Do not operate in transonic (0.5M-1.2M) or supersonic (1.2M-3M)
  6. East round route (0-179 degree) operating altitude odd thousand +500 ft. When altitude more than 3000 ft. (3500, 5500, 7500, …)
  7. West round route (180-359 degree) operating altitude even thousand +500 ft. When altitude more than 3000 ft. (4500, 6500, 8500, …)
  8. Maintain clear of cloud 2,000 ft. Horizontal, 1,000 ft. above and 500 ft. below
  9. Operating altitude above congested area more than 1,000 ft.
  10. Operating altitude above uncongested area more than 500 ft.
43
Q

Please describe the Gyroscopic system

A

This system base on 2 fundamental concepts

  1. Rigidity in space
  2. Precession

Gyroscope is able to remain in fixed position on plane in which it originally spinning.

There are 3 types of gyroscope instruments

  1. Attitude indicator
  2. Heading indicator
  3. Turn coordinator

Attitude and Heading indicator received power from vacuum pump system and normally operate when suction gauge is on green (4.5 - 5.4)

It will malfunction if suction gauge is out of range. If vacuum system failed these 2 instruments won’t work and use magnetic compass instead of Heading indicator

Turn coordinator powered by an electrical system.
