Q

Glands are classified according to the number of secretory. Cells into

A

1 unicellular glands common in simple cuboidal colomunar and pseudostratified epithelium

Q

The exocrine glands have two main parts

A

1 secretory part , senthesize and storage
2 ductal part, transport the secretion into its destination

Q

According to the structure of the ductal and secretory portions

A

Compound and simple ( branched and non branched) according to the secretory unit : tubular(short or long and coloid), acinar (saclike or round)

Q

In pancreas theres two types of exocrine secretions

A

Acinar cells produce pancreatic enzymes : trypsin, chemotrypsin to digest protein
Amylase to digest carbohydrate
Lipase.

And the ductal cells produce bicarbonate to neutralize acidic chyme
Also theres endocrine secretion

Q

Mucus cells

A

They have RER and Gogi apperatus filled apicaly with secretory granules that contain glycosylated proteins called mucin when they are released they become hydrated formin mucus

16
Q

Merocrine

A

The secretory product is release without any loss by exocytosis the majority of the glands like salivary and pancreas

17
Q

Apocrine

A

The secretory producs accumulate in the apical part of the cell then the apical parts are pinched off as a secretion like mammary glands
