eastern arabia, religious scholar puritanical perspective of islam that were far away from islamic thought. got married to someone in alsoud tribe who had ambitions to rule in arabia that grew into first saudi state that was eventually destroyed by ottomans. these ideas percolated later but didn’t come to much until 1920s
