What is a primary search?
A
A rapid but thorough search of all areas that can be entered safely to find and remove occupants. Emphasis is on speed, but not at the expense of thoroughness.

What are some areas of priority when conducting a search?
A
- Point closest to the fire, where chances for survival are lowest.
- Known, and suspected occupied areas.
- Entry and exit points and routes.
- Ventilation points such as windows and balconies.
