SDG 3+2 Flashcards

Q

What is malnutrition and undernutrition

A

Undernutrition - when people do not have enough food to meet their daily energy requirements.

Malnutrition - when there is a lack of specific nutrients required for the body to function effectively. A malnourished individual may have the required amount of food to sustain life, but they may not be consuming the required range of nutrients, which may put their health at risk.
