Q

How does infiltration anaesthesia work and how is its effectiveness determined?

A

Anaesthesia achieve by diffusion of anaesthetic solution to site of action and site of operation. e.g root apex of tooth

Effectiveness determined by the permeability of the tissues (especially bone) through which the solution has to pass
