Science Module 4 Physics Flashcards
What is Newton’s First Law of Motion?
Newton’s first law states that every object will remain at rest or in uniform motion in a straight line unless compelled to change its state by the action of an external force.
What is Newton’s Second Law of Motion?
Newton’s second law states that the acceleration of an object is directly related to the net force and inversely related to its mass. (F=MA)
What is Newton’s Third Law of Motion?
Newton’s third law simply states that for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction.
What is Inertia?
a force opposite in direction to an accelerating force acting on a body and equal to the product of the accelerating force and the mass of the body.
