Takes a solid and grinds it to a powder

To keep chemicals from entering your eyes.
Put goggles on when you enter the lab. Never take them off. Put them back when you exit the lab.
Test Tube Brush
A device used to clean the inside of a test tube
Chem Plate or Spot Plate
For very small experiments using one or two drops of a substance.
Medicine Dropper or Eye Dropper
To take very small drops of medicine. Used to transfer small liquids.
It’s plastic. If used once, must be thrown away.
Chemical Scoop or Scoopula
A utensil used to transfer solids (usually in powdered form).
Wash Bottle
Pure/distilled water inside
Evaporating Dish
Evaporates quickly with heat
Watch Glass
Evaporates quickly naturally. Not tempered glass - heat will make it explode
Funnel
Transfer liquids and separate solids from liquids
Filter Paper
Separates solids from liquids
Electronic Balance
Used for measuring grams
Hot Plate
Has a hot plate under it and is used for weighing and stirring
Weigh Boat
