What is Gravity?
Gravity is the force of attraction between 2 objects.
What are the 2 Factors that influence Gravity?
The Mass of the object and the Distance between the 2 objects.
The force of gravity acts between all objects.
The larger the mass of the 2 objects the stronger the voice and the smaller the distance between them the stronger the force. IT is a non-contact force.
What does Gravity do?
Gravity. holds the planets in orbit around the Sun, it keeps the Moon in orbit around Earth and it holds gases to planets (atmosphere).
Definition of axis
An axis is an invisible line around which an object rotates. Earth’s axis is on a 23.5 degree tilt.
Solstice and Equinoxes are caused by the Earth’s axis’s tilt
so are the seasons.
how often and in which month does the Equinox occur?
It occurs twice a year in September and March.
Every Location on earth experiences these equinoxes except for where?
The Extreme Pole.
What is an equinox?
An Equinox is when there is equal day and night.
In June the north pole is tilted towardthe Sun and the northern hemisphere experiences summer solstice, the longest day of the northern hemisphere year.
Therefore, the southern hemisphere is tilted awayfrom the Sun and experiences the shortest day of the year — the winter solstice.
The second solstice occurs in December when the north pole is tilted away from the Sun and the south pole is tilted toward it.
The Winter Solstice is the longest night of the year, The Summer solstice is the longest day of the year.
How long does it take for Earth to complete a full rotation?
24 hours.
What way does the Earth Rotate?
Counterclockwise, from East to west.
What causes the seasons?
The tilt of Earth’s axis
What is a Revolution?
Is the movement of one object around another object. The Earth revolves around the Sun.
True or False? The Earth revolves around the Sun in an elliptical orbit.
True
How long does it take for the Earth to orbit the Sun

When & What is a aphelion?
An aphelion is the point of the Earth’s orbit that is farthest from the Sun. It occurs on the 3rd of July
When & What is Perihelion?
A Perihelion is the point of the Earth’s orbit that is closest to the Sun, this happens in the 3rd Of January.
What is an Apogee?
Apogee is when the moon is furthest from the Earth.
What is a Perigee?
Perigee is when the moon is closest to the Earth
What is a total lunar eclipse?
When the Earth moves between the Sun and Moon, blocking the Sun’s light, the Moon glows red.
what is a partial lunar eclipse?
