Science fiction has two classifications
hard sci-fi
soft sci-fi.
Hard sci-fi
based on concrete scientific fact. “They’re inspired by “hard” natural sciences like physics, chemistry, and astronomy”
soft sci-fi
includes works which are either not scientifically accurate or they are loosely inspired by social sciences like psychology, anthropology, and sociology
Science fiction is often referred to as
the “literature of ideas.”

Synopsis of the sound of thunder

Eckels, a hunter, who pays 10,000 to travel back to the age of dinosaurs to hunt a Tyrannosaurus rex.
However, things do not go well, and Eckels ends up changing the future.
