define catatonic schizophrenia
A
- immobility
- excessive movements with no purpose
- doing the opposite of what is being asked or repeating everything
echolalia = involuntary parrot- like repetition of a word/phrase spoken by another person
echopraxia = involuntary imitation or repition of a body movements of another person

define disorganized schizophrenia
A
- must have all: disorganized speech/behavior
- not goal directed
- symptoms include delusions and hallucinations
- large mood swings
- loss of interest in life = social withdrawl

A
- variation between symptoms, not fitting into a particular type
- broad

define residual schizophrenia
A
- absence of prominent delusions, hallucinations, disorganized speech and grossly disorganized or catatonic behavior
- episode of schizophrenia during the past 6 months and still have mild symptoms
