Schizotypal (Personality Disorder)
is a pattern of acute discomfort in close relationships, cognitive or perceptual distortions, and eccentricities of behavior (magical thinking).
Delusional Disorder
Presence of one or more delusions lasting at least a month or more:
Erotomaniac type, Grandiose type, Jealous type, persecutory type, somatic type, mixed type, unspecified type.
Schizophrenia
psychotic disorder; delusions, hallucinations, disorganized speech, grossly disorganized and/or catatonic behavior. symptoms must last 6 months and over for diagnosis.
Schizoaffective disorder
Uninterrupted period of illness that includes major mood episode - major depressive or manic - combination of schizophrenia and bipolar (or depression)
substance/medication induced psychotic disorder
psychotic disorder caused by medication and/or substance abuse.
Brief Psychotic Disorder
Symptoms typically last for up to 1 month/30 days in order to have diagnosis of BPD, must be 1 month of symptoms. Criteria synonymous with Schizophrenia.
Schizophreniform Disorder
Criteria for disorder must be present between 1-6 months (less than 6 months for diagnosis). Criteria synonymous with Schizophrenia.
