Viv says this and throughout the play she seems more interested in learning about Jamaica - she is sad not to learn about her culture in school.
‘I already know who I am’
-Del - **doesn’t feel that she needs to know more about who she is.
-She feels she is British however as we later learn is very lost (pregnant - she gets sacked from her job**)
-Actually finding Mai and Obeah customs helps her to find herself and a sense of belonging that perhaps she deep down doesn’t feel she has as a black-British woman.
