Q

What muscle is involved in medially rotating the humerus?

A

Latissimus dorsi

Its attachment point is going to be at FISH which is on the humerus.

It is also twisted at this point so when it contracts causes the humerus to rotate medially or toward to body

Q

What muscle rotates the scapula to tilt the glenoid cavity superiorly?

A

Trapezius

Most likely the upward and downward fibers are working together to rotate the glenoid cavity upward.

The ascending fibers of the trapezius are connected to the tubercle of the scapula spine (medially)

Contracts and brings one side down and the other side up

Q

What muscles are involved in rotating the glenoid cavity inferiorly?

A

Levator scapulae

(Attached to the superior angle of scapula and so when contracted it will pull the medial end up and the lateral end ie. glenoid cavity will go downward)

Rhomboid major

Rhomboid minor

Q

Which muscle is involved in extending the humerus?

A
