A

avascular necrosis of the scaphoid due to dorsal carpal branch of the radial arteries blood supply getting interrupted

A

pain along the radial aspect at the base of the thumb
tenderness over the anatomical snuffbox
wrist joint effusion
pain on telescoping of the thumb

A

immobilisation with a futuro splint or standard below elbow backslab and clinical review to be arranged for 7-10 days later
