What is the purpose and objective of the Emergency action plan?
1.1 & 1.2
Purpose: To establish a method of systematic, safe and orderly evacuation of FDNY facilities. Objectives: To provide a written guide for reporting of a fire and emergency, sounding an alarm and the immediate initiation of a safe evacuation of all FDNY facilities.
How are members to be alerted of an emergency in quarters?
4.1
Members are to be alerted by any available means, such as a verbal alarm, “still” alarm bell, or intercom. Lights are to be turned on and normal turnout/evacuation procedures followed.
Where are members to report to during an emergency in quarters?
5.1
All members are to report to the apparatus/ground floor via the normal egress route(s).
The Officer on duty shall direct the housewatch FF, or designated employee to notify the dispatcher of a fire or emergency via what 3 methods?
