Officers shall direct the chauffeur to proceed to the apron of company quarters (sidewalk) and halt apparatus momentarily to check for vehicular and pedestrian traffic.
While leaving quarters, the chauffeur shall use all lights and warning devices necessary to alert traffic. When traffic is halted, the officer shall direct the chauffeur to enter traffic lane, pause for remaining members to board the apparatus, and, to proceed with speed consistent with safety.
