A

One in which no months exceeds an average temperature of 10c. Regions that are strongly influenced by altitude. As altitude increases so does the wind. Growing seasons are short, cool and book-ended by frost. The majority of the annual precipitation falls as snow. Grapes will struggle to ripen.
