What are the neurological symptoms seen in sarcoidosis?

What are the cutaneous manifestations of sarcoidosis?
Lupus Pernio - Pathopneumonic for sarcoidosis.

What do you need to rule out in sarcoidosis?
HIV
TB
What are the indications to treat sarcoidosis?
(A) Pulmonary Indications
- Bothersome symptoms (cough, dyspnea)
- Deteriorating lung function by PFTs
- Pulmonary HTN
(B) Extra-pulmonary
- Eye disease, hypercalcemia, symptomatic liver disease, severe skin disease, CNS & cardiac involvement
How would you treat mild respiratory symptoms in sarcoidosis?
Treat cough and stable PFTs with inhaled steroids.
How do you treat erythema nodosum in sarcoidosis?
Usually has a good response to NSAIDs.
How long would you treat someone with sarcoidosis with oral prednisone for?
Usually treat for 1-3 months at initial dose, with slow taper for about a year.
