CAR findings in sarcoidosus
A
Sarcoidosis is significantly more common in African Americans. Initial pulmonary complaints occur in 50% of cases. However, sarcoidosis is a systemic disease and can affect numerous organs including the heart, eye, liver, spleen, bone.
Pulmonary exam may be unrevealing or may have crackles in certain cases.
Chest x-ray classically shows “bilateral hilar lymphadenopathy.”
