S4. Sandy Gleyed Matrix
A gleyed soil matrix that is 60 in volume within the first 6 inches of soil
S5. Sandy Redox
a 4 inch thick layer starting at 0-6 inches from the surface that has 60 percent or more chroma of 2 and 2 percent redox concentrations
S6. Stripped Matrix
A layer starting 6 inches from the soil surface that has areas where oxidation and organic materials are stripped revealing the soils base color
S7. Dark Surface
a layer that is at least 4 inches thick and is starting within 6 inches above the surface that will have a value of 3-1 at any hue. Will have 70 percent organic coating.
S8. Polyvalue Below Surface
LRR: T & U only. A splotchy layer starting at 0-6 inches and is a 3-1 with 70 percent coating. Soil under this layer must be a %5 mix of 3-1 with a base of 4-1 until 12 inches or spodic
S9: Thin Dark Surface
LRR: T & U only. A 70 percent coated 3-1 layer that is 2 inches thick and starting 6 inches from the soil surface. The below layers must be 4-1 until 12 inches or spodic
S12: Barrier Island 1cm Muck
MLRA: 153B only. within the swale portion of dune-and-swale complexes, a .5 inch thick 3-2 muck between 0-6 inches from surface
