What was the aim of our study?
To study Salford quays, to identify social, economic and environmental impacts on the area since the start of the 1986 regeneration, which is still going on

Area of Salford, Greater Manchester, England, near the end of the Manchester Ship Canal
What was the purpose of Trafford park?
Built in 1896, the worlds first industrial estate
What were the impacts of Manchester docks?
Closed in 1982
Docks were destination for ocean bound ships, received cargos from around the world, especially from Canada.

1985- built between 1985-1995. Apartment blocks £1,000 rent pcm
When was merchants quay opened?
1991- 153 small dwellings, prices were dropped due to unpopularity when first built
