Customer, Relationship, Management: information is stored securely in the cloud and helps manage and secure your data

what is a record
item you’re tracking in your database. Example record is a row on the spreadsheet
what is a field
a place where you store a value, like name or address.
Spread sheet example: field would be a column
what is an Object
a table in the database
spreadsheet example: an object is a tab on the spread sheet
what is an org
short for organization the place where all your data, configuration, and customization lives. You and your users log into access it. this is also called “ your instance in salesforce”
what is an app
a set of fields, objects, permissions, and functionality to support a business process.
