Define a sales forecast, advantages and disadvantages

A

Shows trends in sales over set period of time, normally 12 months

Adv - aids business in identifying peaks and drops in sales overtime, helps business make key decisions based on ordering stock and running promotions

Dis - cannot tell business reasons for increasing/decreasing sales, graphs must be interpreted and supplemented with additional information
