Four Licence Types
- On Licence : Authorises the holder to SELL, SUPPLY & ALLOW CONSUMPTION OF alcohol ON the premises.
- Off Licence: Authorises holder of the licence to SELL, DELIVER & ARRANGE DELIVERY OF alcohol for consumption OFF the premises.
- Club Licence : Authorises holder to SELL & SUPPLY alcohol for consumption ON the premises for any MEMBER, GUEST OF MEMBER, MEMBER OF ANOTHER CLUB with reciprocal visiting rights.
-Special Licence: On Site/Off Site
On Site: Holders can SELL & SUPPLYOn there premises to any person attending an event.
Off Site : SELL Alcohol for consumption elsewhere to any person attending an event.
Intoxicated
Intoxicated means observably affected by alcohol, drugs and /or other substances to such a degree that 2 or more of the following are evident:
a) Appearance is affected
b) Behaviour is impaired
c) Co-ordination is Impaired
D) Speech is Impaired
Licensed Premises
Supervised Area
Restricted Area
Licensed Premises : Any premises which a licence is held.
Supervised Area : Means an area to which minors must not be admitted unless accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
Restricted Area : Means an area to which persons under 18 years must not be admitted.
Display of Licence.
- A copy of the licence must be displayed at all times. It must be attached to the interior of the premises so as to b easily read by those entering through the principal entrance. It should outline maximum hours of trade and any conditions.
- The duty managers name must be prominently displayed in the premises.
- If signage is is not present or incorrect you should bring this to the attention of the duty manager.
