Q

Mutinies

A

Mutinies for better pay/supplies, a new captain, or to leave.
Never political, still pledged loyalty to the king.
Mutineers rarely violent, simply immobilized ships. Still saluted higher ranking officials.
If demands not met, then violent.
Became violent when flogging, shooting, hanging were harsher. Crew shot if they fell asleep on watch.
