and
Forward of the mast are usually 2 headsails; a jib and a staysail

-Boat oftentimes has a “Bowsprit”

A

Similar to a Sloop but there is a second shorter mast and sail called a “Mizzen Mast” and “Mizzen Sail”

  • The second mast is astern of the mainmast but forward of the rudder post
  • They can also be “Cutter Rigged”
