How do you prevent burns in the kitchen?
Use a dry pot holder to grab a pot. Don’t wear long sleeves in the kitchen and keep your hair tied back. Keep pan handles turned inward and open pot lids away from you.
How do you put out a grease fire?
Turn off the heat and pour salt or baking sofa on it or turn of the heat and put the lid over it. You can also use a fire extinguisher.
How do you prevent cuts?
Use a knife only for cutting food. Use a can opener with a smooth cut and cut off the top completely. Wash knives separately from dishes.
How do you prevent falls?
If you spill something wipe it up right away, use a ladder or step stool to reach high shelves. if the floor is wet don’t walk on it, wait for it to dry. Make sure scatter rugs are non-skid.
Electricity?
Make sure appliances are in good condition. Avoid the electric octopus. Make sure cords are out of the way. Do not run cords under rugs.
To prevent poisoning?
Never Keep poisons or household cleaners in the same cabinets with food. Never mix household cleaners. Close of everything. Clear label.
What is the danger zone?
60-125 degrees Fahrenheit. 16-52 degrees Celsius.
