Minimizing risk of harm to patients and providers through both system effectiveness and individual performance
Fire safety - RACE
Rescue - anyone in danger
Activate - fire code and notify appropriate person
Confine - the fire by closing doors and windows
Evacuate - patients and other people to safe area

What does Evidence Show based on restraints?
- Routine use of restraints does not lower the risk of falls or fall injuries
- Restraints can ass to the risk of fall-related injuries and deaths
How often do you document and care for non-violent (soft restraints or mits)
Visual check, ROM, Circulation, Fluid/Elimination, Signs of discomfort, and food
