What are the implications?
Human, social, economic, organsiational.
What are human costs?
the effect the injury has on the injured person. This includes pain and trauma.
What are Social Costs?
Impact of the workplace accident on the injured person’s family. As well as changes in lifestyle.
What are economic costs?
Financial burdens imposed on the family, workplace and health system.
What are Organsational costs?
The workplace may remain affected by the injury after the accident. Other employees have greater workload.
What is WHS consultation?
a code of practice that requires employers and business owners to seek advice from employees about safety.
What does WHS consultation improve?
it improves decision-making about health and safety and reduces workplace injuries.

Formal = may be held with management.
Informal = daily between staff.
