What is the Qu’ran?
It is the literal words of Allah which were passed on from Muhammad (A rusul) through the angels.

114 suras (chapters)- each are divided into verses
What does the Qu’ran contain for Muslims?
Information necessary for the common God in human life, for knowledge of God’s ultimate covenant with humankind. It covers family, religious and criminal law.
Why is the Qu’ran significant to Muslim life?
Strengthens belief and submission to Allah, guides moral and ethical decision making, influences relationships with others, revered and respected text, embody the core values and laws found in the Qu’ran to achieve submission and reach Jannah in the next life.
What is the Hadith?
It is the collected traditions of the Prophet Muhammad based on his sayings, approvals and actions. It is secondary to the Qu’ran.
What does the hadith consist of?
Words of Allah that aren’t a part of the Qu’ran, details of the words and actions of the prophet, depicts Muhammad as a role model, prayer,
What is the significance of the hadith to Muslims?
