No participant stopped administering shocks before 300 volts. 26/40 (65%) of participants continued to administer the full range of shocks, up to a lethal 450 volts.

1. Withdrawal rights as the participants could not bail out as they were being pressured to continue even though they did not want too.
2. Psychological harm/deception as they had effected the participants mental health by making them wonder how they could go that far to hurt someone but they were debriefed at the end.
