Absolute risk

A

Uppermost limit of risk particular situation or activity, assuming safety has not been considered.
Example: risk associated with rock climbing without safety gear to aid you.

A

Subjective assessment that a person makes about the risk they are about to face in some situation.

Actual/real risk

A

The risk that actually exists for a particular situation or activity, given that safety has been considered and controls are put in place.
Example: risk associated with climbing a rock wall and using safety gear

A

Definition: behaviours resulting from curiosity may well vary significantly from positive and negative.

Example: is the event or trip planned? Are there risks involved? Do we know what they are.

Potential link to behaviour: doubt, stressed, anxious, increase risk.

A

Definition: feeling of admiration

A

When you are older you take less risks: knowledge, experience, mature
When you are young you take more risk: feed of adrenaline, peer pressure (push ourselves to explore flow)
