Explain how and why attitudes have changed to the roles of men and women in the UK
- Roles of men and women have changed greatly
- Women have equal rights as men

- Men and women have different roles in life and religion, Qur’an teaches that they have different physiques
- Only men to attend mosques and be imams - The modern attitude
- Men and women should have equal roles in religion because it says so in the Qur’an
- Prophet Muhammad encouraged both men and women to pray in mosques
Explain the nature of the UK as a multi-ethnic society, including problems of discrimination and racism
- There are many ethnic minorities and so is a multi-faith society
- Multi-ethnic societies have many advantages such advancing more quickly
- Multi-ethnic society needs equal opportunities and treatment to work
- Prejudice and discrimination cause major problems, can lead to crime, racist parties and even terrorism

Treating people less favourably because of their ethnicity/gender/colour/class

Believing that some people are inferior without even knowing them
