What does a list do ?
a list displays a set of records from a table within the content frame.
Each row in a list represents one record and each column in the list represents one field
What does views do ?
they provide specific fields or columns to support different work activities
they enable users to quickly display the same list or form in multiple ways
How do you switch between different views of columns on a list ?
open the list control menu, then select view. Then , select the name of the desired view
a list the is displayed to a user for the first time will be sorted by :
-> the order field

-> the field specified on the display field for the table
What does the context menus do ?
they provide different levels of controls for a given list view
How can control menus be accessed ?
