Any electronic, mechanical, electromagnetic, optical or electric-optical instrument, apparatus, equipment or other device
- used or capable of being used to intercept or record a private communication
- does not include hearing aid or similar device used to correct subnormal hearing of user to no better than normal hearing

A

- used or capable of being used to observe, or to observe and record a private activity
- does not include spectacles, contact lenses or similar device used to correct subnormal vision of user to no better than normal vision

A
A device used to help ascertain by electronic or other means
- the location of a thing or person
- whether a thing has been opened, tampered with, or in some other way dealt with
- does not include vehicle or other means of transport

Private Communication
A
A communication whether oral, written or telecommunication
- made under circumstances that may reasonably indicate parties to comm. desire it to be confined to parties to the comm.
- does not include a comm. where parties ought reasonably to expect the comm. to be intercepted by some other person w/out express or implied consent of any party
