Q

What were the main reasons for the revolution in Russia?

A

The revolution in Russia had many factors, firstly since numerous men were joining the army production fell and over 600 mills and factories closed down. This led to a shortage in goods and food also directly causing an inflation of prices. While the entire country slowly fell into starvation Tsar was proving himself unworthy of being ruler. It seemed he could not govern a country while handling a war. Furthermore, the country was beginning to get sick of the idea of war and wanted out, however, if they were pulled out of war it would be a huge blow to the allies.

A

Firstly, USA was in isolation at the time. They did not want to deal in the European affairs since it did not concern them. Furthermore, there was a great percentage of immigrants in USA, joining the war might lead to their own civil war. The different nationalities would fight with each other.

Q

Why did Germany continuously attack USA even after being told not to?

A

Germany was unable to send merchant ships to usa since british ruled over the seas, this was not a fair trade in germany’s point of view.
Germany continuously attacked USA since to them USA did not appear neutral. USA was giving the allies loans of money two times what Germany was getting as well as providing them with the raw materials and weapons. In addition, in 1915 a third of Britain’s bombshells were bought from USA. These acts did not seem neutral to Germany. To show their annoyance, Germany sunk an American ship in 1915, the Lusitania killing 124 Americans. Eventually, USA warned Germany to stop again not seeming very neutral to Germany.
